The Tunnel: Labyrinths

Hundred Years Gallery

A group exhibition by The Tunnel drawing inspiration from Labyrinths by Jorge Luis Borges (1962).  The work in the exhibition relates to the idea of the unreliability of memory and how this shapes our reality and consequently our understanding of history.

“I will have spent my entire life trying to understand the function of remembering, which is not the opposite of forgetting, but rather it’s lining.  We do not remember.  We rewrite memory much as history rewritten.  How can one remember thirst?”

– Chris Marker
